Reprocessing

As one of the first addresses for corundum recycling, Wester has been offering the reprocessing of used blasting and abrasive materials for more than 30 years. Corundum does not lose its properties when used as an abrasive. Although the grains become smaller, they retain all their abrasive properties. After cleaning and re-fractionation, the product can be reused in the same or another application.

Metallic particles can normally be easily removed from a grain mixture using a magnet - unless the iron particles are very fine. The removal of metallic particles in particular is a challenge that we are prepared for in terms of plant technology. Another task is the separation of non-ferrous particles. These include aluminum, stainless steel and low-grade iron oxides, which are normally non-magnetic.
